For many of us there is no other day of the year that screams “party!” more than Halloween. I mean, come on; cool night air, scary costumes, and enough junk food to make Honey Boo Boo blush. What a night!

That being said, there’s nothing that goes hand-in-hand better with a group of decked-out crazies than belting out your favorite songs karaoke stye! So in the spirit of tricks and treats we present to you seven karaoke songs sure to be the life of the party…so to speak.

A Nightmare on My Street – DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince: Freddy Krueger may be the personification of evil, but he also knows how to have a hell of a good time. So much so that in 1988 the Fresh Prince himself, Will Smith, released a single detailing his own personal experience with the unofficial king of mean.

Howlin’ at the Moon – Hank Williams: For you country fans out there it just isn’t a party if it ain’t got Hank or Hank Jr.! Grab your whiskey (if you’re over 21) and get your howl on.

Devil Inside – INXS: Another hit from the late 80’s, Devil Inside by INXS was a worldwide sensation and makes a perfect addition to any Halloween playlist

Super Freak – Rick James: Halloween is that special time of year when we let the little freak in us all come out to play, and no one says “freaky” quite like Rick James

Ghost Busters – Ray Parker Jr.: If you really need me to explain why this song is a mandatory addition to any Halloween karaoke playlist then it’s probably time to hand over your keys to a buddy and call it a night. Get up, strap on your proton pack, and let ‘er rip! Just remember; don’t cross the streams!

Black Magic Woman – Santana: So it’s late into the night. You’ve sang 16 songs and knocked back almost as many shots. In your mind there’s only one thing that could possibly make this night any better; air guitar!

Don’t Fear The Reaper – Blue Oyster Cult: Your air guitar performance was the hit of the party! Everyone loves you and they’re screaming for more, but there’s something missing. What could it possibly be? Wait! I got it…MORE COWBELL!
