It’s apparent that Knoxville, Tennessee is quickly becoming a hub for amateur singers and musicians. With singing competitions popping up seemingly everywhere, DigiTrax Entertainment is proud to help sponsor many of these events in an effort to support local musicians and artists. Yesterday we told you about the Knoxville Unplugged singing competition being hosted by local TV stations WBIR Channel 10 and WTNZ Fox 43. “The Voiceoff” begins this coming Sunday night (Feb. 9th) with blind auditions. The rules and procedures for the competition will be familiar to anyone who watches “The Voice” on NBC. The contest will be broken up into 5 rounds; Blind Audition Round (with the judges facing away from the contestants), Battle Round, Knockout Round, Semi-Finals, and Finals. The Finals round will take place on April 27th and the winner announced that night! You can get an idea of what to expect below.

So what’s at stake here? Not only will the winner receive a $1,000 cash prize, but, in addition, they will earn a recording session at DigiTrax’s state-of-the-art recording studio in South Knoxville worth an estimated $3,500! More importantly, they will have the opportunity to possibly turn their passion into a career.
