Swift was recognized last night as being the first recipient of the Dick Clark Award for Excellence! She was given the award by Diana Ross. Swift was a class act as she took the stage to receive the award. She addressed her fans and the music industry, ” And lastly, you, you guys! To the fans who went out and bought over a million copies of my last three albums, what you did by going out and investing in music and albums, you are saying that you believe in the same thing that I believe in- that music is valuable, and that music should be consumed in albums, and that albums should be consumed as art and appreciated, and I love you so much.”
Nick Jonas has officially confirmed that he is NO LONGER A VIRGIN. Nick, who is most famous for being one of the Jonas Brothers, told Wendy Williams he has removed his purity ring and says he is an adult now, ” I think that it was an important part of my childhood, and it was that,” Nick said. “I think as I grew up and sort of figured out what was important to me and my own belief system, which we all grow up, we all live life and find out what’s important to us—that’s what happened.
Nick has been dating former Miss Universe, Olivia Culpo, for over a year now and says he is extremely happy. His new single “Jealous” is actually written about Culpo and how he gets jealous when other guys check his girl out, “”We went out one night and this guy was looking at her for a little too long,” he recalled to. “It was uncomfortable. I’m not a jealous person and this was an experience that I was one or two drinks in. I really got into it and then I decided to let me just process this a different way and go into the studio and write this song.”
Nick Jonas is definitely turning into more of a sexual symbol and solo artist rather than a “Jo Bro”! What do you guys think about his new transformation?

Last month, Taylor Swift was surprisingly named “New York’s Tourism Ambassador” after living in New York a little less than one year! Obviously, Swift got an ear full from New Yorkers and harsh critics who do not approve of her getting this honor. However, Billy Joel is helping Taylor “shake it off” by telling USA Today that he welcomes the singer, “You snoots. Let her in. That’s what New York is all about. I say, ‘Welcome.”
Swift just released her new album 1989 with Welcome To New York as the opening track. Billy Joel praises her ability to write songs and inspire people with her music, “She catches a lot of junk, maybe because she’s so popular with young girls,” he continued. “But I like what she’s projecting. I respect what she’s doing.”
Who would have thought Billy Joel would be the one to openly and publicly stand up for Taylor Swift?! We love it!

Friday night ,during Garth Brook’s 6th performance on his tour, a young girl was noticed for her sign reading ” Chemo this morning. Garth tonight. Enjoying the dance. ” Teresa Shaw, the young girl, was pulled up to the front row by an escort after seeing the sign. Garth Brooks serenaded the girl, gave her his guitar, and gave her a kiss on the forehead. Brooks stole the show when he then took the girl’s sign and held it up saying “you have all my strength, you have everybody’s strength in here, and you go kick cancer’s ass!”
Teresa Shaw has been battling breast cancer but was determined to make it to Garth’s show!
Garth told KARE11 that he will be keeping the sign with him on tour as inspiration, “It’s a reminder to all of us.
