DigiTrax Entertainment’s SoKnox Studios open for business!

DigiTrax Entertainment celebrated the Grand Opening of their new SoKnox Studios in Knoxville, Tennessee last night (April 8th)!

The celebration was a huge success and included an art exhibit from local photographer Brian Murray, an outdoor karaoke party, and a performance by 3-time Emmy nominated singer/songwriter Mark Radice. Also in attendance were Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett, Vice Mayor Nick Pavlis, County Commissioner Brad Anders, several members of the Knoxville business community, and local musicians from all around the South East.

Those in attendance were also treated to an impromptu acoustic set by local rock band “Sensible Madness.” The talented quintet made use of the instruments on display and thrilled party-goers with unplugged renditions of several of their original songs sending energy and positive vibes through the roof!

The staff and technicians at SoKnox Studios pride themselves on their ability to provide pretty much anything one might need with regards to music and animation for television, film, radio, games, apps, and more. They are also avid supporters of local artists/musicians and are working hand-in-hand with the local business community to revitalize and reinvent the South Knoxville area.

The first of two local music competitions being sponsored by DigiTrax Entertainment has come to a close and the grand prize winner announced. Congratulations to 12 year-old (yes… 12 years old) Sydni Stinnett, winner of the Knoxville Unplugged singing competition organized by Mornings With Fox 43!

Sydni’s final performance was good enough to sway the judges and solidify her spot at #1 in a competition that included several impressively talented musicians/singers. This amazing young lady has earned herself a professional recording session at DigiTrax Entertainment’s state-of-the-art recording studio in south Knoxville, TN.

Congratulations, Sydni! We hope this is the start of something great for you and we’re honored to be a part of it. Thank you to all of the awesome performers who took part in this competition. Keep pushing forward and never give up on your dreams!

Unplugged and Unleashed: First group of contestants kick off Knoxville Unplugged!

The local singing competition “Knoxville Unplugged” got underway this morning in Knoxville, TN. Eight contestants will be battling it out live on local television for a chance to win a professional recording session with DigiTrax Entertainment. Each contestant is allowed to sing their song selections either acapella or with guitar accompaniment, giving those who are both singers and musicians the chance to show what they’ve got! The competition runs through February 28th.

The first four competitors hit the stage early today on Mornings with Fox 43. They are Tanner Dalton, Brandon Sellers, Tony Paul, and 12-year old (yup… 12!) Sydni Stinnett. “Wild Wing Voiceoff” At Wild Wing Cafe! DigiTrax helps support another local music competition.

It’s apparent that Knoxville, Tennessee is quickly becoming a hub for amateur singers and musicians. With singing competitions popping up seemingly everywhere, DigiTrax Entertainment is proud to help sponsor many of these events in an effort to support local musicians and artists. Yesterday we told you about the Knoxville Unplugged singing competition being hosted by local TV stations WBIR Channel 10 and WTNZ Fox 43. Now, we’re proud to announce that we are also throwing in with Wild Wing Cafe and their Wild Wing Voiceoff competition!

“The Voiceoff” begins this coming Sunday night (Feb. 9th) with blind auditions. The rules and procedures for the competition will be familiar to anyone who watches “The Voice” on NBC. The contest will be broken up into 5 rounds; Blind Audition Round (with the judges facing away from the contestants), Battle Round, Knockout Round, Semi-Finals, and Finals. The Finals round will take place on April 27th and the winner announced that night! You can get an idea of what to expect below.

So what’s at stake here? Not only will the winner receive a $1,000 cash prize, but, in addition, they will earn a recording session at DigiTrax’s state-of-the-art recording studio in South Knoxville worth an estimated $3,500! More importantly, they will have the opportunity to possibly turn their passion into a career.

Knoxville Unplugged: DigiTrax Entertainment sponsors and supports local musicians!

DigiTrax Entertainment, the company behind such products such Play a Tab, Sing-N-Share, and KaraokeOnVEVO, has always been an avid supporter of amateur musicians, and now they’re proving it once again. DigiTrax is joining forces with local Knoxville, TN news station WBIR to sponsor Knoxville Unplugged, a month-long televised music competition which gives local singers and musicians an opportunity to win a recording session in a state-of-the-art professional recording studio!

The competition, which runs through the month of February, will feature live performances from amateur musicians who live in Knoxville and the surrounding areas. Contestants will be allowed to sing either acapella or with guitar accompaniment. Once the winner is chosen, he or she will be given a studio recording session with DigiTrax Entertainment worth an estimated $3,500.
