WW Voice Off 2014 Tomi PrepTomi Robb performs “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” at Knoxville’s Wild Wings Café during the Voice Off competition on Sunday, May 4, 2014. Robb would go on to win first place in the singing contest.

Twelve outstanding singers assembled for the final round of Knoxville Wild Wings Café‘s Voice Off competition on Sunday, May 4, 2014, but only one could emerge victorious. By the narrowest of margins, R&B sensation Tomi Robb took home the honors, the $1,000 cash prize, and a recording session at SoKnox Studios sponsored by DigiTrax Entertainment worth $3,500.

It was not a walk in the park for Robb, who was pushed to her limits by the field of eleven other competitors, each of whom brought both their natural talent and their “A-game” to the packed house.

Joining Robb in the Top Five were first runner-up Emily Struble and second runner-up Renee Maggart, along with Dylan Snowden and Cameron Dickerson.

Judges and coaches for the competition, which began in February, included Larry Blair, Linda Meyers, Mike Snodgrass and Sarah Goodpaster. The event was hosted by Master of Ceremonies Justin Marsh and directed under the watchful eye of Tara Thomas, with the crucial sound engineering duties masterfully executed by Mike Sosville.
