J-Lo talks raising kids as a single parent

Jennifer Lopez, also known as “J-Lo”, opens up about raising her six- year- old twins as a single mother. Lopez was married to Marc Anthony when she had the two children and is now trying to keep their life as normal and happy as possible. She admits that the two children ask her why their daddy no longer lives with them, “I tell them, ‘My daddy isn’t here either, but I know he loves me.’ I try to paint for them as beautiful a picture of life as I can and to let them know they are loved,” she explained to British magazine Hello!

J-Lo also admits that her life is not as easy as people think it is. She claims to have the same struggles that every other single mother has, “I think every single mom knows that there are beautiful things about [being a mom] but that at the same time it’s tough. It takes two people to make a baby and I believe it also should take two people to raise a baby,” she explained.

Alan Jackson Announces 25th Anniversary Tour

Listen up Alan Jackson fans! The legendary country singer has just announced that he will be going on tour beginning January 2015. Jackson will be celebrating his 25th year as a country singer. He will be performing from January 8th until May 17!

Jackson revealed to People that he wants this tour to be something different than previous concerts, “This is a way to make it new — put together something special that pulls together those 25 years,” he said. Jackson feels proud to have made it in the music industry for 25 years, “Some people don’t like to talk about how many years they’ve been around — it makes them feel old. I’m proud of it and glad to do it.”

Alan Jackson will also be accompanied by the upcoming country stars, Jon Pardi and Brandy Clark. Brandy Clark can be seen right now on tour with Eric Church!

Nicki Minaj talks her new music video and new, natural look

GQ’s newest correspondent, Taffy Brodesser-Akner, sat with the very colorful Nicki Minaj to chat about her newest Anaconda video. Minaj is known for having creative and unique outfits, songs, and music videos. However, Minaj doesn’t seem to think that her newest video “Anaconda” is anything out of the ordinary, ” I’m being serious.I just see the video as being a normal video.” Most people who watch the video say there is a hidden meaning and female form to her new video, but Nicki refuses to agree with that. Minaj does admit that the video is about her having power and control in her relationships. She goes on to say that “it’s always about the female taking back the power, and if you want to be flirty and funny that’s fine, but always keeping the power and the control in everything.”

Nicki Minaj has also been spotted on red carpets recently being very toned down and much more natural looking. Minaj admits that she no longer feels the need to hide behind outrageous outfits, ” always thought that by the time I put out a third album, I would want to come back to natural hair and natural makeup. I thought, I will shock the world again and just be more toned down. I thought that would be more shocking than to keep on doing exactly what they had already seen.”

Nicki Minaj obviously knows what she is doing and having great success with her new video “Anaconda”! Gotta love Miss Minaj, even her oldies are still goodies!

The One Direction film & upcoming album have everyone buzzing

One Direction has just released the track list for their upcoming album, Four, which will be out November 17! The group also shared that whoever pre-orders the album on iTunes will be able to get five tracks immediately.

Along with the excitement of One Direction’s new album, the group is having major success in the film industry as well!

The global pop band screened their “Where We Are Tour” in move theaters across 78 countries this past weekend. The film was the number one trending topic on Twitter and about $1.2 million tickets have already been sold, which makes it the highest attended Event Cinema of all time! Arts Alliance and Sony Music collaborated to produce the film for One Direction.

We think One Direction is having a fantastic Fall so far!

In Italy, the film is also the highest attended Event Cinema of all time, with $1.7 million in Box Office sales. Portugal sold out the film in less than 3 hours with 33 screens generating over 16,000 tickets sold.

2014 American Music Awards announces the nominees

The nominees for the 2014 American Music Awards were announced early Monday morning. Australian rapper, Iggy Azalea, leads with 6 nominees this year! Following close behind Iggy are: Katy Perry, John Legend, Pharrell Williams, Beyonce, One Direction, and Lorde.

The awards show is airing live from the Nokia Theatre L.A.in Los Angeles, California on November, 23 starting at 8 p.m.

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton file for divorce

After a 9 month long separation, the couple is calling it quits due to “irreconcilable differences”.

Anyone who has kept up with the couple knows the “Blurred Lines” singer was accused of cheating on the American actress. Robin Thicke has very publicly tried to win Paula back by creating an entire album about his love for her. He has even admitted to E! News that his behavior is the ultimate reason behind their separation, “We’re apart because we just couldn’t be together anymore for a while. There’s a hundred different reasons, there isn’t just one. There’s a long list… I changed, and I got a little too selfish, a little too greedy and little too full of myself”. However, his attempts to regain Patton’s heart have been a complete bust. Thicke too often contradicts his pleads to win Paula back by publicly admitting he is just sort of “winging it”, rather than putting a lot of thought and effort into fixing things. He admitted this to Good Morning America back in July, “I actually have no idea what I’m doing…. I’m just kinda flying by the seat of my pants on this one”.

Additionally, the two also have a 4- year- old son, Julian and will both have joint custody.

As a young adult who grew up with a single mother, I am very proud of Paula Patton’s decision to file for divorce. If Thicke no longer treats her with the same love, respect, and honesty that their relationship was founded upon then she is making the right choice to move on from it. It takes an extremely brave woman to walk away from the love, fame, and fortune that Thicke provided her with. Of course, we hope that they are able to end on good terms and move on to better things!

Robin Thicke’s love life may not be doing so hot at the moment, his music sure is! His single “Blurred Lines”, featuring T.I. and Pharrell, continues to top the charts. Listen to the smash hit now and SING ALONG!

Beyonce gorgeous in her latest selfie

Queen “B” is at it again! All the gossip and rumors about Beyonce’s marriage, photoshopped pictures, and possible new pregnancy haven’t seemed to phase her one bit…. Over the weekend Beyonce posted a picture on her personal Instagram account with seemingly no makeup on her face and wearing nothing but a rose crown on her head! This is the second time this year that Beyonce has posted a “no makeup selfie”. Could she be responding to all the backlash she has been getting for her possibly photoshopping other pictures on Instagram? The reasons don’t seem to be quite clear!

However, Beyonce does look simply beautiful in her selfie with no makeup on. The pop star seems to still be at the top of her game at the age of 33!

What do you guys think? Does “Queen B” still have the same appeal as she did in 2003 when she released the single “Dangerously in Love” ? Beyonce released the single just a year after departing from the famous girl- group “Destiny’s Child”. The song propelled Beyonce into a solo star as it became a worldwide hit!
